6 strong Irish team set for the IPC Powerlifting European championships
Ireland will send a team of six athletes to the IPC powerlifting Championships in Eger, Hungary, from the 24th to the 28th of November.
The team comprises of a blend of experienced and new athletes.
Reg Byrne will compete in his third Europeans, Chris O Connor his second, whilst the remaining 4 athletes, Thomas McCague, Nicola Dore, Oscar Hancock and Jack Colbert all make their debut at this level.
The growth of the team this year, is a testament to the work of Ken Hurley who has coordinated the programme nationally for the past year. He will receive excellent support from assistant coach Mark Brady at the competition also.
